Our mission is to inspire kids to try hard, have FUN and aim high in all their endeavors. Our mission also focuses on the advancement of literacy in the world. Through advocacy, awareness and action, True Genius Apparel Company will support literacy programs to help kids build a solid foundation for learning throughout their lifetimes.

Why True Genius?
True Genius Apparel Company was born out of the concept that the best way for kids to build a positive self-image is through experiential learning. Regardless of age or ability, kids have the innate ability to take whatever activity they are engaging in and excel at it through experimentation and discovery. Whether building a sand castle, playing house or making music with pots and pans, positive play gives kids a foundation that leads to a lifetime of learning. All children possess this ability – something we like to call true genius.

We support this concept through our unique line of kids clothing. Every True Genius product features fun, stylish and positive designs that help express each wearer’s true genius.

Who We Are
True Genius Apparel Company was founded in 2006 by sisters Tammy and Deborah Graham. The idea for the company was born in 2004 when Tammy, a non-profit executive, was pregnant with her first child. While pregnant, she realized that clothing options for her future son was limited and that most were designed around images of trucks and cars, adult themes, and corporate logos. She began sketching out ideas for a new, unique children’s clothing line that focused on fun and stylish designs with positive and inspiring messages.

Deborah, a former special education teacher, was also inspired by her new little nephew, and the fact that many children she taught wore negative message clothing to school and nothing positive or inspirational. The two brought their ideas together and True Genius Apparel Company was born. Today, Tammy and Deborah run the business from their homes in sunny Arizona
